Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at mike@laserkey.com. If your return is accepted, we may or may not send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Please note there is a Restocking Fee of 10% to 75%. If there is nothing wrong with the product and it still is in the original undamaged wrapper, the restocking fee will be closer to 10%. If the item you want to return is not in the original wrapper, the restocking fee will be closer to 75%. We may refuse the return for many different reasons, not limited to used items, locked chips on transponder keys or locked chips on remotes, or locked chips on proximity remotes. YOU must pay the shipping back to us.
You may be asked to provide a VIN to the car you are working on. If no VIN is available, there is not much we can do, and we will not be able to process a return.
Defective Automotive Products
If you believe the item you purchased is defective and want to return it for store credit - here is what you need to do before we accept any item deemed as "defective."
1) Provide Year - Make - Model of the vehicle,
2) Provide the VIN to the vehicle,
3) If using a programmer on the vehicle - what is the model and manufacturer of the programmer,
4) Briefly explain how the part is to be considered defective.
Something to remember, some aftermarket programmers claim to work on certain vehicles when in reality they do not. Programming keys, remotes & proximity remotes is never a guarantee. One of the reasons is most locksmiths are not using a dealer-certified programming tool. Most locksmiths use aftermarket tools to program vehicles, and there is nothing wrong with that - but like any knock-off tool that is not a dealer-certified programming tool - there can be issues. Some tools work better than others, but the market is flooded with aftermarket programming tools. This is a risk you take.
You can always contact us for any return questions at mike@laserkey.com.
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable itemsCertain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (technical manuals) or custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We may refuse the return for many different reasons, not limited to used items, locked chips on transponder keys or locked chips on remotes, or locked chips on proximity remotes.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
